Running concurrently with Art Basel, one of the world's most prestigious international contemporary art fairs, Africa Basel is a dedicated platform for African galleries, artists, and cultural organizations. This year, for the first time, the fair launches a Talks Programme addressing narratives from the Global South. Olwethu will engage in conversations with other internationally recognized artist-led initiatives, exploring how artist-led spaces are reshaping exhibition formats, challenging traditional gallery models, and building sustainable, community-rooted infrastructures for contemporary art across the continent and beyond.
